To rescue, rehabilitate, and release native wildlife and to provide sanctuary, individualized care, and a voice for other animals in need.
Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation (WRR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1977 by Lynn Cuny. It receives approximately 10,000 wild animals every year for rescue, rehabilitation, and release, including opossums, raccoons, bobcats, coyotes, skunks, squirrels, over 100 species of birds, and many reptiles. The organization does not receive any government funding.
WRR also operates a wildlife sanctuary providing permanent residence to over 600 animals, including more than 300 farmed animals rescued from FFA programs, cruelty situations, abandonment, and auctions. The organization additionally engages in advocacy and education focused on ethical relations between humans and the natural world, with volunteer opportunities available seven days a week.
