Their Life. Their Home. Their Healing. Our Responsibility.
Global Sanctuary for Elephants exists to protect, rescue, and provide sanctuary for elephants worldwide. It establishes safe, wild spaces where captive elephants can live as naturally as possible—with vast open landscapes, herd companionship, and environments that nurture their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
The organization operates Elephant Sanctuary Brazil, South America's first and only accredited elephant sanctuary, which was created in response to progressive anti-circus legislation that left captive elephants in Latin America with no suitable place to go. Current residents include Maia, Rana, Mara, Bambi, Guillermina, and Baby.
