Securing a future for Malawi's wildlife and wild places
Lilongwe Wildlife Trust takes a holistic approach to conservation across three programme areas: saving wildlife, deterring nature crime, and securing healthy landscapes. The organization operates Lilongwe Wildlife Centre and delivers internationally renowned wildlife rescue services, achieving a 95% conviction rate for offences against listed species.
In the past year, the Trust rescued 121 animals and released 77 back into the wild, while engaging 8,900 children in education programmes. It also offers volunteer placements in sanctuary work, veterinary medicine, and wildlife research.
