PAWS (Performing Animal Welfare Society) is a true sanctuary that has been fighting to end the exploitation of captive wildlife for more than 40 years. It does not breed, buy, sell, or trade animals, instead providing permanent homes and lifetime care tailored to the history and needs of each individual animal.
The PAWS sanctuary has rescued over 250 animals across 8 species, offering spacious environments designed to promote natural behaviors and autonomy. PAWS supports its mission through donations, animal adoptions, and advocacy efforts, and also hosts an annual international captive wildlife conference.
