Projet Primates is a French association that supports the Chimpanzee Conservation Center (CCC) based in Guinea Conakry. The CCC's main mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and when possible release orphaned chimpanzees that have been seized from poachers by Guinean authorities.
The CCC also works to educate local populations about the threats to chimpanzee survival, including deforestation and poaching for the pet trade, and participates in community development around the High Niger National Park where the sanctuary and release sites are located.
