A home for parrots who need a safe place to land
Rhode Island Parrot Rescue (RIPR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and the only rescue in Rhode Island focused exclusively on rescuing, rehabilitating, and placing exotic birds into qualified homes. Birds surrendered for various reasons receive medical evaluations, healthy diets, veterinary care, enrichment, and behavioral training during their stay.
RIPR places rehabilitated birds into adoptive homes through a thorough screening process including detailed applications, phone interviews, home visits, and required bonding visits. The organization also has a Maine branch and prioritizes public education about the care, diet, and enrichment needs of exotic birds.
