About Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary

Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary is a family-owned wildlife sanctuary operating since 1979, spread across 70 acres of natural habitat in Mole Creek, Tasmania. It is dedicated to the care, rehabilitation, conservation, and education of Tasmania's unique native species, and is one of Australia's longest-running Tasmanian devil breeding facilities.

The sanctuary actively participates in five conservation breeding programs contributing to the recovery of endangered native animals. Daily interactive guided tours are included with admission, featuring wildlife encounters such as wombat meet-and-greets and Tasmanian devil feeding demonstrations.
