Akumal Monkey Sanctuary is a rescue sanctuary housing over 50 rescued species of exotic and endemic fauna. It offers educational tours that allow visitors to interact with and learn about animals in danger of extinction, including primates, macaws, snakes, flamingos, goats, and zebras.
The sanctuary is the only place in Mexico authorized with an educational bonding program, and it supports conservation through visitor experiences, volunteering, internships, and partnerships with allied institutions.
