Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center

Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center (formerly Zoo Ave) is a 100% Costa Rican non-profit foundation dedicated to conserving the country's wildlife. With over 30 years of experience, it is the oldest wildlife rehabilitation and rescue center of its kind in Costa Rica, specializing in rehabilitating and releasing injured or orphaned wild animals, preserving habitat, and providing lifetime care for animals that cannot survive on their own in the wild.

The center receives over 3,000 animals per year, operates the largest veterinary hospital in Central America, maintains a sanctuary of approximately 650 animals open to the public, and manages three release sites throughout the country. It is certified by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS).
